Kitchen steward — Hamilton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a kitchen steward in Hamilton County, Illinois. Requirements: • Basic food hygiene awareness (Level 2 certificate a plus) • Able to work fast and keep up under service pressure • Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen preferred On a typical shift you will scrape leftover food off plates and pre-rinse before loading; wash chopping boards, knives and kitchen utensils; hand-wash pots, pans and trays using the three-sink wash-rinse-sanitise method; mop the floors and wipe down kitchen surfaces and splashbacks; clean extractor-hood filters and degrease the walls; scrub out grease traps and clear blocked drains and gullies.
