Foundry labourer — Blaenau Gwent

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Blaenau Gwent, Wales. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off.
