Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Broome County, New York. On a typical shift you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
