Structural MIG welder • Rhea County, Tennessee

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Rhea County, Tennessee. The job is on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day-to-day duties: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
