On a typical shift you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Requirements: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Rotating shifts.
