Rigger — Val Verde County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Val Verde County, Texas. The job is at a container port. Day to day you will guide loads through tight openings into their final position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Six days a week, one day off.
