Furniture maker — Choctaw County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furniture maker in Choctaw County, Mississippi. On a typical shift you will read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions. What we are looking for: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
