We are recruiting: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Wayne County, North Carolina. You will work on a high-rise building site. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day to day you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists.
