Heavy equipment operator — Thayer County

Join our team: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Thayer County, Nebraska. You will be based at a landfill site. On a typical shift you will operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
