Scaffold fitter • Smith County, Mississippi

We are recruiting: we are hiring a scaffold fitter in Smith County, Mississippi. You will work on an industrial refinery shutdown. On a typical shift you will erect debris netting, sheeting and brick guards; erect tube-and-fitting and system scaffolds such as Cuplok and Kwikstage; fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform; handle, sort and stack tubes and fittings for loading out; plumb the standards and level the ledgers with a spirit level; tie the scaffold back to the building with through-ties and anchors. Requirements: • Reliable, punctual and able to work in a gang • Physically fit for repeated heavy lifting of tubes and boards • Able to read basic scaffold drawings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $28 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
