Now hiring: backhoe loader operator (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in City of Radford, Virginia. You will be based on a busy construction site. You should have: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery On a typical shift you will operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
