Horizontal milling machine operator • Mitchell County, North Carolina

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Mitchell County, North Carolina. You will work in a CNC machining unit. Requirements: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Day to day you will keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters.
