Requirements: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Day-to-day duties: • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
