Foundry operative — Monroe County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Monroe County, West Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
