Head baker • Butler County, Nebraska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a head baker in Butler County, Nebraska. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. The role involves boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; score the top of loaves before baking; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; load and unload the deck oven with a peel. What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Pay around $200 per day, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
