Moulder — Washington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a moulder in Washington County, Kentucky. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $6,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
