Vacancy available: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Calhoun County, Iowa. You will be based at a power plant. Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces On a typical shift you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $210 per day plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
