Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Caroline County, Maryland. Day to day you will change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; write and edit G-code programs at the control; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets. What we are looking for: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
