Immediate opening: we are hiring a single needle operator in Jerauld County, South Dakota. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day to day you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts.
