Argon arc welder — Green County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Green County, Kentucky. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Your main tasks: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
