Immediate opening: we are hiring a power float operator in Adams County, Iowa. You will work at a ready-mix concrete plant. What we are looking for: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Your main tasks: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $130 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
