CNC programmer-operator — Borough of Tameside

Great opportunity: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Borough of Tameside, England. You will work at a fabrication and machining plant. What we are looking for: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Your main tasks: • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £2,250 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
