Vacancy available: sample machinist (Alaska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sample machinist in Bethel Census Area, Alaska. The job is on an export house sewing floor. The role involves: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes You should have: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
