Precision welder — Appanoose County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Appanoose County, Iowa. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings You will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
