Foundry worker — Missaukee County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Missaukee County, Michigan. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
