Immediate opening: fabrication workshop technician (Illinois)

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Fayette County, Illinois. You will be based on site fitting windows in new-build flats. Day to day you will insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router. You should have: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads 1+ years on the tools preferred.
