Now hiring: we are hiring a carpenter in Swisher County, Texas. The job is on a residential housebuilding project. The role involves: • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage 2+ years on the tools preferred.
