Safety inspector — Boise County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety inspector in Boise County, Idaho. The job is at a manufacturing plant. Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Day to day you will verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
