Pipe tig welder — Gallatin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Gallatin County, Montana. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
