We are recruiting: we are hiring a cement mason in Scott County, Virginia. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. Requirements: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds The role involves: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout Six days a week, one day off.
