Blocklayer — Martin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Martin County, Kentucky. The job is at a residential building site. You will bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
