Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Wayne County, North Carolina. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown You will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation.
