Blocklayer — San Benito County

Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in San Benito County, California. You will work at a renovation and extension job. On a typical shift you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints. You should have: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
