Blocklayer — Monterey County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Monterey County, California. The job is on a commercial construction site. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Your main tasks: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
