Garment machinist — Worth County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Worth County, Iowa. You will work on a ready-made garment production line. You will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
