Fusing press operator — Polk County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Polk County, Florida. The role involves shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
