Vacancy available: machinist (Kano State)

Now hiring: we are hiring a machinist in Karaye, Kano State. On the job you will handle: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
