Vacancy available: skimming plasterer (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Somervell County, Texas. You will be based in an occupied house during renovation. On a typical shift you will apply scratch coats and key the surface for the next coat; polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush; tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler; dot-and-dab plasterboard to walls and ceilings; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge. Ideal candidate: • Own set of trowels, floats, hawk and buckets • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
