Urgent requirement: sewing machine operator (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Kirklees, England. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown On a typical shift you will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around £2,750 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
