Head baker — Sullivan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a head baker in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at an in-store supermarket bakery. You should have: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics On the job you will handle: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
