Press operator — Jefferson County

Join our team: we are hiring a press operator in Jefferson County, Oregon. You will be based in a forging and pressing unit. You should have: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses On a typical shift you will adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
