Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Lewis County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
