Pipe TIG welder — Newport

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Newport, Wales. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size.
