Bench joiner — Pankshin

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bench joiner in Pankshin, Plateau State. The job is on a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent The role involves: • Plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
