Great opportunity: we are hiring a tile setter in Mercer County, New Jersey. The job is at a busy tiling site. What we are looking for: • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) • A good eye for level, plumb and even grout lines On the job you will handle: • Make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system • Spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles • Mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
