Immediate opening: vertical transportation technician (Illinois)

Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Marshall County, Illinois. You will work on a high-rise construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards 4+ years on the tools preferred.
