Foundry labourer — Marinette County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Marinette County, Wisconsin. The job is on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 6+ years on the tools preferred.
