Milling machine operator • Clackmannanshire, Scotland

Now hiring: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed What we are looking for: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Able to grind and set HSS cutters At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
