Head butcher wanted in Neath Port Talbot

Join our team: we are hiring a head butcher in Neath Port Talbot, Wales. Requirements: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Your main tasks: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer £120 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
