Blocklayer wanted in Saginaw County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Saginaw County, Michigan. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools On the job you will handle: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays 6+ years on the tools preferred.
